The YOURS guide for a rainy day in Valencia

5 de February de 2023

Valencia is one of Europe’s most sunny places. However, also here there can be a bit of drizzle sometimes. For that reason we are happy to present to you our YOURS guide for the rainy days!

1.Mercado Central
A place that never gets boring is Mercado Central. The perfect spot to admire Valencia’s Modernism architecture, to have a bite or to get some local products to bring home.

2.La Lonja
Right in front of Mercado Central, you will find the Silk Exchange (La Lonja de la Seda) dating back from the 15th century. Have a look inside to enjoy the late gothic architecture while sheltering from the rain.

3.Bombas Gens
An all-time favourite plan for rainy days is to visit a museum. In this case we highly recommend you to go to Bombas Gens. This contemporary art museum is located just outside of Valencia’s old centre in a wonderful industrial building.

4.Filmoteca
Another plan that is not to be missed, is to go to La Filmoteca. This film house is located in the Rialto building on the town hall square, only a 10 minute walk away from YOURS. In general it is common to find dubbed films in Spain. However, in La Filmoteca they show the original version. So, if your spanish is not that fluent yet, it is not a problem!

5.Kukla & Amor Amargo
Looking for a cosy place to eat inside? Try Kukla or Amor Amargo! Kukla is a small, welcoming restaurant that serves middle eastern dishes, situated in the neighbourhood of El Carmen. Also, Amor Amargo might be the perfect option in case you prefer to grab a bite close to the hotel. As an old bodega, Amor Amargo is famous for its warm, retro interior.
